The Ladybird children have worked their socks off this week! They have been amazing for Mrs Miller, Miss McMillan and Mrs Macfarlane. We have all been very impressed with them and there has been lots of children in the Celebration book, getting gems and silver and gold cards!

Year 2 have been comparing numbers in maths. They have built on making 2 digit numbers with tens and ones and used this to support them. In Topic we looked at our seed experiment and made conclusions about why some has grown and some hadn't. The children recorded their ideas. Have a look in the photos to see their wonderful writing.

Year 1 have been matching numbers and amounts. They have worked in pairs, on their own and are recording in their maths books. It is lovely to see their confidence growing. In Topic they have been labelling parts of the body and writing about their 5 senses. We finished the week writing about animals. Have a look at their wonderful writing in the photos!

In PE we were using the balances we have been practicing on the floor, but now we are on equipment. The children were really good at listening and being safe. We are looking forward to using more equipment as the term goes on.

Mrs Macfarlane will be in on Monday Tuesday, Thursday and Friday next week. We will have a supply teacher in class on Wednesday whilst Mrs Macfarlane attends a course. We are also looking forward to welcoming Miss Linn, a trainee teacher, to Ladybirds. She will be with us each week from now until February. Lucky us!

Have a wonderful weekend. It looks like the sun will be shining!
