Amazing Appliques!

The children have really enjoyed their project in DT this week, where they have been learning how to use applique to create a fossil picture.  This took ALOT of patience and concentration to try and thread needles, poke holes in felt fabric to join to their binka and to be resilient when their threads got tangled!  However their determination and effort really paid off as they have created some lovely fossil pictures using different sewing techniques.  Well done Beetles!

Platinum Party Platters!

That's quite a tongue twister- Platinum Party Platters! What a fantastic day we have had today; preparing our juicy strawberries and brain boosting blueberries to accompany our delicious scones that we made yesterday, for our feast in the afternoon.  We were also really fortunate to be invited to join in with the junior school celebrations.  We had  fun on the bouncy castle and enjoyed looking at all the lovely work the children had created about different decades of the Queens reign.  Unfortunately we needed to leave before we got a glimpse of HRH to go and enjoy our own celebrations.  It was such a lovely afternoon making bracelets on the trim trail, chasing bubbles, eating scones and enjoying the sunshine.  Have a well deserved rest Beetle class.  You are amazing and we look forward to seeing you back after half term.
