Friday 4th November 2022!

Welcome back Glow Worms!

I hope you all had a lovely half term break and all come back ready to tackle this half term. 

We have had a lovely first week back this week with lots of learning on our new history topic about Isambard Kingdom Brunel who we are learning about over the next few weeks. The children have enjoyed learning about how he was an engineer and why he is important to our local area. We are very excited for our trip to the SS Great Britain next Thursday!

In maths this week we have been consolidating our learning on addition and the children particularly enjoyed being allowed to answer number line questions by writing on their tables using whiteboard pen as you can see by the excited faces below!

Next week there will be a supply teacher in on Tuesday however I will still be in school in the afternoon and Mrs Clay will be with the children as well. We have our school trip on Thursday to SS Great Britain. The children should be in school at normal time and we will return at the end of the school day. Children are invited to dress up in sailor type clothes for the trip. This may include a stripy t shirt and then sensible trousers (jeans, leggings or tracksuit bottoms). Please also wear sensible shoes and bring an empty rucksack. We are very excited!
