Here are the links for this week to support your child with their reading journey.

Reception children are having lots of fun playing Fred’s games which is supporting them to orally blend sounds together. They have also worked on consolidating their understanding of set one sounds. This term we having a real focus on blending sounds to read words.

Children in Year One are reviewing the Set 1 special friend sounds as well as learning set 2 sounds.

Year two children have been reviewing the Set 2 and Set 3 sounds.

Please can you continue to support your child’s reading by reading their book bag books daily as this helps the children’s confidence and fluency when reading. Sharing lots of stories at home will support your child’s enjoyment and love of reading.

Teachers will be sharing links to a story that has been read in class every fortnight. This is another great way to share a story together.
