Friday 8th April - The Easter Bunny Visited!!!

Millipedes have had a week focusing on Art. The children have been making their own Easter cards. The children chose to use yellow paint on their fingers, adding feathers and then adding faces and feet to their chicks when they were dry. They all looked so wonderful. We have also decorated fabric using lots of different mediums. The children used fabric pens, feathers, Googley eyes, buttons, sequins and lots of other wonderful materials. The children also tried a new challenge this week, weaving. The children used paper to weave an Easter egg, they are made me so impressed.

In Maths this week the children have been thinking about doubles. The children painted their own Easter egg on one half using dots, before folding it and doubling the amount of dots!

Finally on Friday the children were so lucky to have a visit from the Easter Bunny, we went on an Easter egg hunt for our own painted egg and then when we returned to the classroom the Easter Bunny had put a chocolate Easter Egg into all our carpet spaces!

We have had another wonderful term Millipedes, I look forward to term 5!

Miss Hues is having a bit of trouble uploading the pictures this week but she will try to sort this as soon as possible.
