Geography for Leopard Class

This week, we have continued our Geography topic by looking at where countries are in the world and how this affects the weather. The children learned about the equator and used the atlases to at where different countries were. Then, we learned that there are 7 continents and made a globe show where they were located.

In maths, we continued looking at shape. We have sorted shapes into groups and made/ completed patterns.

In our English work we have been thinking about what being a penguin is like. The children have learned about what instructions are and that each one needs to start with a bossy verb.

The children looked at editing in computing this week, and explored it using the Ipads.

All nativity costumes should now be in school. If you are having any problems, please do come and see us and we can help you with ideas! Leopard class performances are Tuesday morning at 10.00 (children allowed) and Wednesday afternoon at 2.00, followed by the collection of the christmas crafts (adults only).

Please check out the RWI blog to support your child with their reading at home. You will also find a password link to Oxford Owl and the children can read a whole selection of books to support their reading in school.
