Happy New Year to you all!

Glow Worms have had a very busy week and fully involved themselves to the learning. It has been a pleasure to see how hard they worked. Great start to the New Year Glow Worm class!

We started a new Geography topic of the UK and its four countries. They have enjoyed locating them on a map, learning about their capital cities and flags. We have so far looked at England, London and Scotland. They drew London landmarks and even had a go at making them from Lego.

Next Monday, the children will be learning about Northern Ireland, before having an Irish dance workshop. Please can the children come in wearing their PE kits as normal.

In maths, we have been looking at the place value of numbers up to 20. We began by counting and then we represented them using different manipulatives.

The children had a great time creating different floor and standing shapes in PE on Monday. As it is dance, they showed their best moves to music in between holding their shapes.

On Thursday, Mrs Rockey commented on how much of a pleasure it was to teach Glow Worm class. The class explored how to work the Bee-Bots and had a go at some challenges to test their knowledge. They are very excited for our next lesson with them!

What a great start back!
