Happy half term Wallabies!
Happy half term! We made it Wallabies and what a wonderful start to school life you have all had. We are so proud of each and every one of you and hope that you all have a wonderful, well deserved break. This week in phonics we have been learning the sounds v, y, w, z and x. The children have done brilliantly with their letter formation and Fred talk. In maths we have been working on finding amounts, subitising and representing numbers on a 5 frame. We have enjoyed talking about how we have changed since we were babies and what we might want to be when we grow up. We have started thinking about people who help us in our community, ahead of the Little City visit next term and our local area walk. It has been lovely to see the children dressing up as nurses, police and fire fighters and being creative in the construction area building fire stations and railway lines. We were even lucky enough to end the term with a police visit from 2 local police officers and they were kind enough to let us see their police car and listen to the siren go off! When we got back to class we decided to get creative and make our own police cars out of paper plates, they were fab!
We look forward to welcoming you all back on Monday 3rd November ready for term 2! Happy holidays Wallabies!
