Hot, Hot, Hot!
The end is in sight and the children are coping brilliantly in the heat. They are drinking a lot and we are making sure we have a lot of breaks in between our learning.
This week we have finished off our learning about The Great Fire of London and we have written the most wonderful fact files. We have also been looking at the settings of ‘Building Boy’ and using pictures from the books to play detectives and for us to guess how the characters are feeling.
Maths has been looking at position and direction. We have made maps and used the BeeBots to support us with using the correct vocabulary. This also linked with our previous learning when we had to make maps as part of Geography.
Next week we will be going on our rescheduled trip to Lacock. It still looks like it is going to be a warm day. Children will need to wear appropriate clothes, shorts and a t-shirt with a sun hat. They will need to have had sun cream applied before school and a small back pack will be needed to carry their lunch. It would be useful for them to bring a drinks bottle WITH WATER as the weather is going to be so warm.
