Millipede Farmers

This week in millipedes we have been exploring the farming world. We have looked at both arable and pastural farms. The children have done some creative writing to go with their drawings of pants and animals.

We have a trip to the farm park next Wednesday so the children will be able to see all the things we have been learning about in school.

On Wednesday we had a snow day and school was cancelled! Well done to all the children who did some work at home and it was amazing to hear about all the fun the children had playing in the snow!

On Friday we planted our own tomato plants! We used soil in pots, made a whole for our seeds and watered them. We will watch as they grow in school and take them home once they have started to grow some stems. I was so impressed with the labelling the children wrote for their tomato plant pictures, they have come such a long way so quickly!

In Read Write Inc we continue with the new groups. The blog is really helpful for practicing at home and has a break down of the relevant sounds and words for children in every group.
