October 10th

What a wonderful first term we have had in Wallaby Class.  I can’t believe we have one more week to go before the first term finishes.  We are so proud of all the children, they have worked so hard, learnt new routines and made some lovely new friends.  They will really deserve their half term holidays.

This week, we have been continuing with squiggle whist you wiggle and we played a listening game called Apple Pie and Tomato Ketchup.  The children had to guess who it was who said Apple Pie or Tomato Ketchup whilst closing their eyes.  I was amazed at how fantastic they all were at this!

In Maths, we have been looking at repeating patterns.  The children have used a variety of natural objects to create their own ABABABA patterns.

Our topic this week has been The Senses.  We have been on a senses walk to our Sensory Garden to see who we could see and hear and also talked about what we like to see, hear, smell, taste and touch.
