Puppets

Hopefully, the children have come home this week and told you about the wonderful puppets they have been making. As part of their DT topic, the children have been designing their hand puppet which they then had to transfer to making and sewing. They had to clearly follow their design down to choosing the colour of the thread and the detail they added.

We have finished with 24 beautiful and very individual puppet. The children worked so hard on their skills remembering, up, down, up, down, never around! As part of the topic, the children have been practising their threading skills using binca. It has been amazing how much their skills have changed in a week and the lovely patterns they are now producing. Some people have had to concentrate very hard!!

Next week our parent event takes place on Tuesday at 2.30. We will be making puppets, you are also welcome to have a look at some of the work the children have been producing. 

Mrs Watts will be in class on Thursday morning and all day on Friday, when we break up for half term.
