Sand and Sea

This week in Millipedes has been a hot one, please can we make sure that children come to school with sun hats, thank you!  

This week we have begun our seaside topic with an investigation into what beaches are, where we can find them at what they are like. We have enjoyed playing with the water and sand and have looked at all the different types of beaches around the world.

We have also thought ahead to our trip to the seaside next week and come up with a list of all the things we need to take with us!

This week the children have become very interested in chess! So later in the week I bought my chess set in for them to explore!

On Friday we had our schools colour run! This was such a fun event for the children and thank you for all the sponsors!

 The children continue in their new RWI groups. I am currently taking purple group and they have adjusted really well to the new groups and are writing so well! The RWI blog is really helpful for practicing at home if you would like.
