Hello everyone.

We have had another short week but Year 2s have got stuck into their new DT topic on making puppets – they have enjoyed the creativity of practising joining techniques and have produced some good running stitch as can be seen from the photos. They also had great fun in their drumming workshop on Tuesday afternoon. Apart from that, they have worked hard on some test booklets, which we have tried to keep as relaxed as possible and have revised what they know about addition, subtraction and place value in maths.

Year 1s have continued learning about grouping and sharing in maths. We have become very good at making equal groups practically and are continuing to think about how to do this using pictures. In the afternoons, Year 1s have been looking at the local area and have been investigating human and physical features in geography. We are looking to go for a walk around the local area on Wednesday afternoon but we do need parent helpers to enable us to do this. So, if you can help, please could you let me know via the Class 5 email or at the beginning or the end of the day.

Mrs Harper will be teaching Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday this week. Mrs Clifford will teach the class on Tuesday.
