Science and Art

This afternoon as been as busy as always in Glow Worm class! The Year 2 children have been 'Learning Outside the Classroom'. They have been investigating different materials and why they are used for specific things. The children used some amazing vocabulary to describe the properties. 

Whilst this was going on, the Year 1 children were looking at the famous artist Kandinsky and some of his famous paintings. They discovered he loved listening to jazz music, use bright colours and lots of shapes! the children then had a go at recreating one of his pictures using pastels.
