Snow Day and Final Art for Glow Worms

This week, the children have been busy completing their art topic all about Georgia O'Keeffe. They used their observational skills to draw flowers, including lots of detail, and then used powder paints to bring colour to their artwork. The children used different sized brushes, for thin and thick lines, and used their mixing skills to find the right colours. They did an amazing job (as you can see).

In lifeskills, the children focused on different environments around the school. We went for a walk and identified our favourite places before thinking about how we can look after them.

The children continued developing their jumping skills in PE by jumping from a higher height. They did well to land on their feet and challenge themselves to complete different jumps.

In maths, we have been looking at measuring length and height. The children used the words longer, shorter and taller to compare objects around the room. Then, they used cubes to measure length and height.

We can't forget the snow day we had on Wednesday- thank you to everyone who completed the home learning tasks if you had the chance. Some of the children have showed me the hard work they put into it. We hope you all enjoyed the snow.
