Stourhead and sculptures
What a busy week!
Our highlight was definitely our trip to Stourhead on Thursday. The children looked around in the hopes to find paintings, sculptures and natural materials- they were definitely not disappointed! They all had a go at collecting things to make sculptures and then they got to visit the house where so many of them noticed lots of sculptures and paintings all around them. They all had a fantastic time during lunch, playing with the harvest/ Halloween activities set up in the courtyard.
In art, we considered colour, space and form when making our sculptures out on the trim trail. The children even worked in groups, working as a team to share ideas and create their art inspired by Andy Goldworthy.
Maths has all been about addition, writing fact families and counting on.
Next week we have Parent Consultations on Tuesday and Wednesday. Thank everyone for signing up for an appointment, I am so looking forward to sharing your child’s learning with you.
Our Harvest Festival service is at All Saint’s Church on Thursday at 2pm. Thank you to the parents who have volunteered to walk with us. For those walking, we will be leaving school at 1.30pm and be back by the end of the school day.
Hope you have a lovely weekend!
