Super sporting stars

What a super week its been in Butterfly class.  The children have been learning about repeated addition, counting in equal groups and trying to show their understanding by using arrays in maths.

We finished our topic on seasonal change this week bu writing about everything we have learnt about.  We now know that in Spring the weather is very changeable and is unpredictable. One minute it can be bright and sunny but then it can suddenly turn cold and windy with hail or snow showers.  The children have thought carefully about how the length of day gets longer in  Spring, and how the warmer weather provides more food for newborn baby animals to eat.

The children also had a wonderful opportunity to take part in some sporting activities organised by the sports leader at Matravers school.  They had a super afternoon being active and having fun together and they should be very proud of their superb behaviour.

Next week we are back at school on Wednesday, after a bank holiday weekend and a Teacher Training day on Tuesday.  Please remember next Friday is our coronation event so the children can come to school dressed as kings and queens.  We will be having a street party in the playground and learning a special dance so please also bring a PE kit to change into.  It should be a fun day.

Have a great weekend!
