Term Four; Week One

Hello, hope you have all had a great half term!

This week in Millipedes we have started a new topic, Wriggle, Raw and Crawl! We begin with an exploration of the jungle and the animals and plants that live there. The children were really interested in the Venus Fly traps and made some brilliant models of the plants as well as some terrifying tiger art!

This week was Shrove Tuesday and in class we made our own pancakes. The children worked in groups to make and mix the pancake batter and then Mrs Smith cooked and flipped them. Everyone got to eat their own yummy pancakes.

In maths we have been exploring the number eight. We have started to write our own number sentences and me and Mrs Smith have been so impressed with the children’s progressing maths skills!

In Read Write Inc we have new groups, with all children having made great progress last term.
