Welcome back Pandas 5th November

Welcome back! We hope you all had a wonderful half term!

We have started off this week thinking about remembrance. We have all seen lots of poppies around so the children have been learning why they are significant and what they represent. We have thought about memories and how objects can help us remember special times. We then drew or made different objects that sparked a significant memory. We had lots of lovely ideas including swings, aeroplanes, peoples houses, a tent, a grandma, bikes, skateboards and many more very sweet ideas that sparked some lovely memories.

We then talked about the poppy and the poppy fields that help us remember the soldiers. We then made poppies in many different ways and gave us more opportunity to discuss more of our memories.

We have read some lovely stories this week and the children really enjoy listening to them. Don’t forget to write in the reading diary every time you read with your child at home.
