What a busy week in Panda Class

The Pandas have worked so hard this week.  In English we have been learning about non chronological reports and thinking about the features you would find.  The Panda's have been writing their own non  chronological report on Penguins this week, with a title, sub headings, facts, a text box and illustrations as well.

In Math's this week, we have been looking at 2D and 3D shapes.  The children have been learning the names of all the shapes, thinking about how many vertices can be found in 2D shapes and looking at lines of symmetry as well!  We have been using playdough to make different shapes as well.

In music, the children have been making musical instruments and then playing them to different pieces of music.  We had to listen carefully to each other so that we were all playing at the same time!  It was such great fun.  We have also been chair drumming!  The children each had two beaters and a chair and we all played to The Wellerman song.  Lots of the children were singing along at the same time as playing!

Finally in Geography, we have started our new topic on Weather.  The children have been meteorologists and have been studying the weather each day.  We also looked at how different the weather is in each season.

Please can you begin to send in nativity costumes as we are able to store them in the classroom. If you are having any difficulty finding anything, please do let us know.

Have a lovely weekend.
