What a wonderful week!

Beetle class have been very busy artists this week, first drawing and then painting their self-portraits.  They have all worked really hard applying the skills learnt of colour mixing and following the rules for drawing a face, to create amazing self-portraits.    Also, the children’s collages which they made at the Holbourne Museum look fabulous on our display too – check out the pictures below to view them.

In PE this week, the children demonstrated both teamwork and skill. They had to move in complete synchronisation with their partner both backwards and forwards, this involved lots of concentration and focus. It was lovely to see the children working so well together.

In maths, we have continued working on our addition and subtraction this week, applying our knowledge to word problems.  The children have continued to use the resources to support their learning. Beetle class have certainly been growing their brains and the number bonds song still remains a firm favourite.

In RE we have focussed on kindness, how we can show kindness and how it makes people feel when someone is kind to them.

The Brilliant Beetles have filled their Gem Jar for the second time.  Due to the rainy afternoons we have had, we decided to have a class disco instead as a reward.  Today the Brilliant Beetles enjoyed a class disco.  Well done brilliant Beetles!

Just a small reminder, all children need slippers and a coat in school, especially as the weather is getting colder and wet.

Mrs Jeffery will be in class; Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday with Mrs Rockey taking Beetle Class on Thursday morning and a supply teacher Thursday afternoon.

Well done again Beetle Class.
