Wow - What a week!
Wow – that was some week! We started off with the fantastic Parent Event and finished with a visit to the ice-cream factory and Bubbleman! What a fabulous way to celebrate Ofsted with a special event for the children and finish the term.
Thank you to all who could come to the Parent Event on Monday. It was lovely to see all the children share their learning with you and for you to join them in making their medals. We really appreciate all your support. As you saw, the children have enthusiastically thrown themselves onto our History Topic. There was some great drama this week as the children re-enacted scenarios to work out the order of their importance. They also looked at sources of evidence to prove statements and justified their choices. We finished the topic with all the children producing an amazing piece of writing about both Mary Seacole and Florence Nightingale. Well done Brilliant Beetles.
We have continued with multiplication and division in Maths this week. The children have used various resources to support their learning with doubling, halving, odd and even numbers and made links with times tables. It has been great to hear them make connections and links as the learning all comes together.
In PE, we finished our module with the children showing such progression from the earlier lessons. They confidently used the equipment, executed the movements all the way through, thinking about the starting position, the jump, the balance and the landing. All the time supporting and encouraging each other.
We will finish the term with another ‘chair drumming’ session, the Beetles back performing again!
