RE

We have been looking at the Creation story in RE. We have learned what Christians believe and have thought about what happened on each day.

Listen to the 'Wonderful Earth!' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DnWXtV-CyYc

For today's activity, we would like you to re-tell the Creation story. You can do this in any way you choose, e.g. make puppets and act it out, re-write the story, draw pictures for each day and tell someone at home etc.

Please find the lesson PowerPoint here:

Music

This term. we are having fun with instruments. For your activity, we would like you to talk about what instruments you know and then create an instrument using something around your home, e.g. a saucepan, a wooden spoon on a table, tapping a teaspoon lightly on a glass etc. What makes a noise and how is it made?

Play this instrument along to your favourite song- have a go at finding the pulse.

We hope you have a lovely day!

Keep warm and stay safe.

Olympian Sonia Samuels joins us for a chat!

Olympian Chat for Kindle Users

Well done Year One! We have finished our first day of learning at home in July. Time for us to grab a cuddly friend and cosy up for a story.

Today we are listening to a story called Together We Can by Caryl Hart. This is the same author who wrote the Albie stories that we have all loved listening to in school. It is about how different we all are but also how precious and special. We think all of our little Hedgehog and Badgers are extra especially wonderful!

We hope you enjoy the story and we hope to see lots of you in the morning when Sonia Samuels pops onto Teams for a chat...
