20th May

The children had a great day on their trip to Charmouth. We had a talk to the rangers about the different fossils we could find and where to find them. They told us about the A,B C of fossil hunting to help us remember the names. A was for ammonite, B was for belemnites and C was for crinoids. We found lots of the fossils along with sea glass and some crystals. The children were really good at remembering about Mary Anning and could tell the rangers all about her. We were then able to go into the heritage center and look at the larger fossils that had been found from different parts of the country.
