Goodbye lovely Beetles

Today we said goodbye to our lovely children in Beetles.  The children had lots of fun this morning collecting messages and signatures in their autograph books and then finished the day attending their graduation ceremony.  They performed amazingly; a rendition of London's burning on their ocarinas, singing our school anthem Wish, Bruno Mars' You can count on me and finally High school Musical Together.  For some children the occasion was a little overwhelming and they found it difficult to fight back the tears, while others were able to put on a smile and enjoy the occasion.  Emotions are all part of who we are and it was lovely to know that the occasion was meaningful to each and everyone of them. We have really enjoyed teaching Beetle class this year and know that they will continue to achieve great things by using resilience, determination and accepting that making mistakes and learning from them are all part and parcel of learning. We had a lovely chat about what the children would like to be when they grow up; we had doctors, surgeons, teachers; footballers, hockey players; cyclist; YouTube-er, vet, firefighter, professional fighter and a gymnastic coach to name just a few.

Thank you so much to all of the parents for your very heartfelt thanks, through words and gifts.  Your kindness and appreciation was very touching and will be cherished as will the memories of teaching your children.  We hope you all have a really enjoyable summer break and wish the children well next year!
