'Oh I do like to be beside the seaside'
Drawing club this week was based on the animation ‘The Wombles’ which the children loved. They created their own Womble character and during their adventure they came up with really imaginative ideas of what they might see through a telescope. These included whales dancing on land in a forest, cats flying into space in a rocket and pizza planets!
In PE, Wallaby class had great fun on the large apparatus, climbing and hanging and being very adventurous. They also had to complete an obstacle course where they showed excellence balance and coordination to manoeuvre over different sized apparatus. They had to crawl and travel up and down different ramps too. They absolutely loved it!
What a wonderful time they had at Boscombe Beach on Tuesday. It was so lovely to hear the squeals of delight when Wallabies first saw the sea! They were amazing on the coach, chatting and singing together very happily. We were all so proud of the children; their behaviour was fantastic and they all played so happily together on the beach. They had great fun in the sea, lots of splashing, jumping over the waves and getting very wet! Then sandcastle building and finding pretty shells. The children were all very hungry for their lunches and then Mrs Budge bought them all lolly pops. It was such a brilliant day with lots of lovely memories made. Well done Wallabies!
