Friday 18th November 2022
This week Dragonfly class turned into storytellers and had great fun retelling the story of Goldilocks and the Three Bears. It was lots of fun to watch the children perform the story and use a range of voices. In our music sessions the children have been practising using the Glockenspiels and investigating the sounds they make.

As part of our topic ‘If you go down to the woods today’. The children thought about the season of Autumn. We looked at the signs of Autumn and then the children went on a walk around the school grounds looking for signs of the season. They created a leaf crown as they went around the grounds and enjoyed spending time in the sensory garden.

In our Maths sessions, this week we have been looking at the shapes square and rectangle. The children went on a hunt to find examples of these in the environment. After listening to the story, ‘Mouse Shapes’ we created shape pictures. Can you see which shapes we used? Towards the end of the week we looked at day and night and sequencing familiar events.
